Nin Tai Karate

Curriculum

Students will move through the grades (or kyu’s) from 10th kyu to blackbelt over a period of around five years.  Through that progression students will learn:

 

Basics—khion. 

· Blocks

· Strikes

· Kicks

Self Defence

 

 

 

 

 

Kata or forms drawn from both the

          Shotokan and goju schools of karate

 

 

 

 

Bunkai and Yakusu—set defences and attacks

 

Development of stamina, fitness and coordination through a combination of cardio vascular, aerobic and strength karate related activities.

 

Kumite—non contact sparring.  Although this

is non contact, it is physically demanding. 

Students will progress in skill level as they

rise through the grade ranks.
